KUMHO Tyres are offering money to help local good causes. Derwentside ASC was nominated as a potential recipient of this funding, but it needs support from members parents. If you buy tyres from Tyrespot Ltd, Drum Lane, Chester le Street, you can nominate DASC as a recipient of some of the Kumho money. In addition you will receive a discount voucher for future purchases.
The offer is valid from June through to August, so if you need tyres, try Tyrespot and remember to ask to nominate Derwentside ASC for some of the good cause awards that Kumho are giving away.
Abbie Jennings won top 15/16 yr old girl, and Simon McCormick won top 15/16 yr old boy at the Chester le Street Open. The club won 2 gold, 6 silver, and 8 bronze medals.
Swimmers at N+D BAGCats collected 7 Gold Medals, 2 Silver Medals and 4 Bronze Medals. Congratulations to both swimmers and coaches for a job well done. Special mention should go to Aaron Beckford who won the Top Boy Award (for 9 year olds), by a massive 126 points.

Could all members ensure that membership fees are paid in full. Anyone not doing so will not be able to compete at galas.
When you submit your entries for a gala you will receive an automated email to confirm your entries. Only enter those events recommended by your coach. The competition secretary, and head coach also receive this email and so if you get the automated reply you can be sure that they have and the entry will be processed in due course. When entries have been processed, and your swimmers details have been forwarded to the club hosting the gala, you will receive an email to confirm entry and payment details.
